#SparkleSpotlight on... Calypso
I’ve been thinking about doing a series of blog posts on particular pieces for a while so, without further ado, I’m going to start with the Calypso headpiece. I designed this for my Mermaid collection and it’s an ode to the beguiling sea nymph of Greek mythology. Calypso is a powerfully feminine and regal piece. Shown above layered with the Oceania crown, the Calypso can be worn as a headband, or worn on the back of the head, styled with a veil.
As with all my pieces, it’s lightweight, (so no headaches by the end of the night!) and features the sparkliest Swarovski Crystal rivoli stones, navettes, baguettes and round stones. It can be plated in pale gold or silver.
Made by hand in London from start to finish, Calypso is a real favourite with my brides. I think it’s so popular because it’s modern whilst still being pretty. The graphic shapes give it a cool vibe so it’s the perfect choice for brides who’d like to add a little edge. Check out some of them below!
