Looking back on the #TTLDayofSparkle at the Ace hotel
Last weekend, something happened that I’ve dreamed of for as long as I can remember. As the spring sunshine filtered through the windows of the Ace Hotel, a steady stream of incredible brides trusted me enough to be immersed completely in the sparkling, shining, glittering world of Tilly Thomas Lux.
When I first thought about the possibility of doing my own event, I’m not going to lie, I was nervous! I loved the idea, obviously, but it felt like such a big step and it was quite terrifying at first. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to that little voice in my head and went ahead with it anyway as it was the more glorious day! The TTL Day of Sparkle was a celebration of my wonderful brides and it was the most amazing feeling to see so many of you there. My fabulous TTL team was there to guide everyone through the collections and give advice, if needed, and the wonderful Jo from Jo Loves hair and Jessie from Bohemian Beauty worked their magic on countless brides hair too, styling my sparkles to perfection! All of this with the breathtaking view of London from the Ace’s rooftop bar and a superb soundtrack by Wedding Smashers. It’s so wonderful to have these beautiful pictures by my friend Rachel from Rachel Takes Pictures Photography as the day was a bit of a whirlwind for me.
To every single wonderful human who was a part of making that happen - thank you. Thank you for believing in me, trusting me, supporting me and championing me. It’s fitting that here I am writing this on International Woman’s Day, as the number of ladies who attended on the recommendations of friends and sisters was overwhelming. I am so incredibly grateful to find myself in a community of truly brilliant women. From the future TTL brides we met, to their families and friends, to my amazing team, to my mum, and the honorary boys (my dad and husband!) - you are all part of making my dream so much more than I thought it could ever be. So here’s to reaching for our wildest imaginings and for seeing them somehow, incredibly, come to life and surpass every expectation we ever had. Here’s to the dreamers.
With love and sparkle,
Sally xxx
