A bespoke Tilly Thomas Lux leafy crown and off-the-shoulder wedding dress for a classic wedding

Oooooh it’s good to be back! I’m so excited to be back in the studio and can’t wait to meet all of my gorgeous 2020 brides-to-be. I’m designing new crowns, headpieces, earrings and lots of other beautiful wedding jewellery so watch this space! In the meantime, I’m thrilled to share the first Tilly Thomas Lux real bride of the year!

Lovely Dania married her husband Scott in the Georgian house of Clonabreany in Co. Meath, Ireland and wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities. They planned a weekend long celebrations with everyone they love and the surrounding scenic countryside made for a beautiful backdrop.

I worked with Dania on a beautiful bespoke piece:

“My granny is one of my closest friends, but due to poor illness, she couldn’t be there. To make sure I had a bit of granny with me, I shared with Sally a picture of the bracelet she was given when she was her sisters made of honour as I wanted to wear a head piece that complimented the bracelet, and the delicate diamond earrings gifted to me by my auntie who traveled from Egypt over to Ireland for the first time. Sally carefully created a spectacular piece that complimented granny’s bracelet, and the delicate earrings I had planned to wear and my dress. I had hoped the head piece would be the centrepiece of the days accessorises. While Scott’s wedding rings are white gold, mine are rose gold, so something with a soft tone to compliment it was what we were hoping for.

Seeing the creation come together was honestly the most exciting moments in the lead up to the wedding. The slightly antique, soft gold colour of the head piece complimented the crystals SO well, and they looked lovely with the dress. It all came together so well on the day. The veil slipped into the top of the head piece, and when it was taken off it sparkled ALL night. Unfortunately for us, it was a little over cast on the wedding day itself, but that did not stop the sparkles- they looked just so special throughout, and got so many compliments.

Scott had made a joke that he’d couldn’t imagine me with a crown, so there was an ongoing joke with our hair and make up team that it was a ‘hair band’ if Scott asked. Turns out, he was just as in love with it as I was, and he loves a crown! Unsurprisingly, it got so many compliments throughout the day. I can’t wait for an opportunity to wear it again!”

I loved working with Dania and I’m so pleased she loved her crown- sorry, HEADBAND! ;) Check out this gallery by Emma Russell Photography to see more from this gorgeous big day.

Congratulations to the happy couple! I wish you all the best for your new lives together.

Love and sparkle,

Sally xxx
